Surprise III by artAZ
“artAZ’s SURPRISE returns and the artists are standing by the homeless of Athens for the 3rd consecutive year. Our annual charity exhibition is more relevant than ever this year, that’s why we have enriched it with new elements, so that together we can offer even more. We look forward to seeing you all at City of Athens «Technopolis» between 18 – 20 November 2011.
Once again we invited 300 artists to support the effort by especially creating and donating to SURPRISE 3 a work of art each. All artworks share the same format (18 x 24 cm), are offered for the same, symbolic price (50 €) and are signed at the back. The artists’s identity remains secret and gets revealed only AFTER the artwork is bought! In other words you are in for a SURPRISE!
Once again the artists who are kindly offering their works represent the entire spectrum of artistic practice and the various different stages of an artist’s career. An eclectic mix - from internationally renowned artists to art school students - gets together in order to surprise you and invite you to join and support the noble cause of the exhibition.” (text quoted from www.artaz.gr)
You can take a look at all the artworks online here and if you wish you can come and visit the exhibition at these days and hours (if you wish to buy an original artwork be sure to come in early. No reservations can be made and it’s on a first come first served basis):
